What is a drone roof survey?

We fly close to the roof in a careful, controlled pattern and capture high-resolution photos of each roof plane, plus the details a ladder can't reach: valleys, gutters, flashings and chimneys. We don't disturb a single tile.

You get a link to a gallery of photos, including close-ups, and a video running up and down the roof. Larger, multiple or high-rise roofs are quoted per job.

We capture the imagery; your surveyor or roofer makes the assessment. We are CAA-qualified drone operators, not chartered surveyors, and we regularly carry out drone roof surveys for surveyors who use our imagery in their own reports.

Need measurements too?

If you need roof areas, pitches and angles, a 3D model lets you measure the whole roof from your desk, accurate to within 5 cm. Clients use roof models to plan solar panel layouts, lightning protection and repairs, and to quote materials accurately. 3D models start from £400 + VAT.

What is a drone roof survey?

A drone roof survey is a close-range inspection of a roof using a drone instead of scaffolding, ladders or a cherry picker. We photograph every roof plane, valley, gutter, flashing and chimney, then send you a link to a gallery of photos, including close-ups, and a video running up and down the roof.

How much does a drone roof inspection cost?

Small roof inspections start from around £300 + VAT, including photos and video. Larger, multiple or high-rise roofs are quoted per job, and a measurable 3D model starts from £400 + VAT. You always get a fixed price before we fly.

Do you need scaffolding or roof access?

No. The drone inspects the roof from the air, so there is no scaffolding, no ladders and nobody working at height. That makes a drone roof inspection faster and safer than traditional access, and it doesn't disturb the tiles.

Will you tell me what is wrong with my roof?

No. We capture clear photos and video of the roof, and your surveyor or roofer makes the assessment. We are CAA-qualified drone operators, not chartered surveyors.

Can you measure the roof?

Yes, with a 3D model. You can measure roof areas, pitches, angles and lengths from your desk, accurate to within 5 cm. Roof models are often used to plan solar panels, lightning protection and repairs.

Can you inspect flat roofs and chimneys?

Yes. We inspect pitched and flat roofs, chimney stacks, pots and flashings, valleys and gutters, including high-level areas that are hard to see from the ground.

How quickly will I get the photos?

Roof inspection photos and video are normally delivered in 2 to 3 days, and always within 5 working days.
