What is a drone roof survey?
A drone roof survey is a close-range visual inspection of a roof carried out with a drone instead of scaffolding, ladders or a cherry picker. We photograph every roof plane, chimney, valley, flashing and gutter, then deliver an annotated inspection report with each possible defect located on a roof plan.
How much does a drone roof survey cost?
Small residential roof inspections typically start from around £300 + VAT, including photos and video. Larger commercial roofs, 3D models and building inspections are quoted per job, and we always give a fixed price before we fly.
Are you a chartered building surveyor?
No. We are a CAA-authorised drone operator. We capture the roof and building data safely from the air and organise it into a clear visual report, and a qualified surveyor or contractor makes the assessment. We regularly work alongside surveyors and can work with yours.
Do you need scaffolding or roof access?
No. The drone inspects high-level areas from the air, so there is no scaffolding, ladders or working at height, which makes a drone roof inspection faster, safer and usually far cheaper than traditional access.
What is a digital twin or 3D building model?
A digital twin is an accurate, measurable 3D copy of a building or site, made from thousands of overlapping drone photos using photogrammetry. You can view it online, walk around it, take measurements and share it with your team, clients or contractors.
What do I get from aerial site mapping?
Drone mapping produces a high-resolution orthomosaic map of your land or site, plus elevation models, boundaries and area measurements, all tied to the British National Grid and ready for CAD or GIS.
Can you provide regular construction progress reports?
Yes. We fly construction sites weekly, fortnightly or monthly from the same positions, and supply aerial progress photos, drone video and a construction progress report for each visit, plus an online timeline so change is easy to see.
Which areas do you cover?
We are based in Lichfield, Staffordshire and cover Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield, Tamworth, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Cannock, Burton upon Trent, Derby, Nottingham, Leicester, Coventry, Solihull and the wider Midlands, and travel across the UK for larger projects.
Is it safe and legal to fly a drone near my building?
Yes. We are CAA authorised and commercially insured, and every job has a site-specific risk assessment and method statement. We arrange any airspace and landowner permissions needed before we fly.
